New Day Community Development Corporation (NDCDC) proudly established it's legacy scholarship award. We are committed to education, service, leadership, and community empowerment, and we will continue to inspire future generations. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, NDCDC created this scholarship to carry forward our values by investing in students with the potential to lead, serve, and make a lasting difference.

The New Day Community Development Legacy Scholarship Award reflects a core belief: education is one of the most powerful investments in a student’s future. Higher education can open doors for individual students, strengthen families, and build stronger communities. This scholarship is designed to help remove financial barriers that often stand between talented, motivated students and their full potential.

The award represents a total investment of $250,000 and establishes the New Day Community Development Legacy Scholarship Award, an initiative that recognizes, supports, and invests in six exceptional students each year. NDCDC selects students as NDCDC Legacy Scholars based on their academic achievement, leadership, character, potential, and commitment to making a meaningful impact in their communities and chosen fields.

Each scholar is eligible to receive a $40,000 scholarship, awarded in installments of up to $10,000 per year for four consecutive academic years, provided the scholar continues to satisfy the program’s academic, enrollment, and participation requirements. This sustained financial commitment is intended to provide scholars with greater stability throughout their college experience, reduce financial barriers, and help them stay focused on their education, personal growth, and long-term aspirations.

Upon graduation, the program selects six new exceptional students as NDCDC Scholars under the same terms. In this way, the program creates a continuing cycle of opportunity and investment, ensuring that each graduating class makes room for a new group of talented students to benefit from the scholarship.

Recipients are selected based on academic excellence, demonstrated leadership, integrity, resilience, community involvement, and a sincere commitment to improving the lives of others. NDCDC seeks students whose character and determination reflect those values of our mission and work.
